Meet the Owner: Greta Goddard

Greta Goddard’s journey began in the classroom, where she dedicated her early professional years to teaching children. While she loved the impact she made in education, her heart always held a special passion for fitness and inspiring others to embrace an active lifestyle. This passion blossomed into a dream, and Greta set out to create a fitness gym in Hudson’s Hope.

With determination, she sought local business partners to help bring her vision to life and pursued her fitness instructor certification. Although she faced challenges along the way, her perseverance paid off, and she proudly opened the gym she had always envisioned.

As a fitness instructor, Greta finds daily inspiration from her clients. The greatest reward for her is witnessing the transformative power of regular exercise, especially in those new to fitness or feeling out of shape. She loves seeing how improved physical health can enhance mental well-being and enable her clients to tackle daily tasks with newfound energy—from household chores to simply enjoying a stroll around the block.

A big part of what makes her job enjoyable is building personal connections with her clients, something that thrives in a small community like Hudson’s Hope. “I was made for small-town living,” Greta shares. “I love the relaxed atmosphere, the sense of safety, and the freedom it brings. I don’t miss the so-called ‘conveniences’ of city life! It’s reassuring to know that my kids can walk home safely from school, with twenty of my neighbours looking out for them along the way.”

Through her dedication and warmth, Greta continues to inspire the community, helping everyone embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle!
