Meet General Manager: Raj
Raj was born in the beautiful islands of Fiji, where he began his journey in the hospitality industry over 44 years ago. His passion for exceptional service and attention to detail allowed him to thrive in 5-star resorts across Fiji and various other locations around the world. Sixteen years ago, he made the move to Canada, where he continued to excel as a banquet manager and hotel manager, further honing his skills and expanding his knowledge of the industry’s best practices.
In June 2024, Raj found his new home in the peaceful surroundings of Hudson’s Hope. Though he is relatively new to the community, he has made a significant impact. Since taking the helm at the Stillwater Inn, Raj has transformed it into a hub of hospitality, with the Inn often fully booked and many guests seeking to reserve their spots in advance due to his outstanding service.
A proud father of three sons, all of whom have followed in his footsteps in the hospitality industry, Raj also cherishes his role as a grandfather to one grandson and two granddaughters. His family remains a source of inspiration and joy in his life.
Raj’s high standards for customer service truly set him apart from others in the industry. His commitment to making every guest feel welcome and valued is evident in the positive experiences reported by visitors.
