Books, books, and more books! The Travelling Booth Booth is a mobile bookshop with a passion for indie authors. Founded in August 2025 by Hudson’s Hope’s own Jessica, the booth started as a way to share her debut book—but quickly grew into something more.
What began with just her novel and two fellow authors has now blossomed into a growing collective, featuring works from over 10 indie writers (and counting!). You’ll also find a handmade touch at the booth—Jessica creates unique jewelry and keychains to complement the literary treasures on display.
The Travelling Booth Booth isn’t your typical book vendor. Jessica is proud to offer something truly unique: a platform where indie authors can sell their books together, creating a one-of-a-kind browsing experience for readers.

Meet the Owner: Jessica Kempster
Jessica, the heart behind The Travelling Booth Booth, is a local author from Hudson’s Hope with a deep love for storytelling and supporting fellow writers. Her journey began with the dream of getting her own book into more hands—but it didn’t stop there.
Each time she shared her vision online, more indie authors reached out, and she quickly realized there was a real need for this kind of platform. Now, she proudly showcases books from authors across the region, offering them a space to shine.
When she’s not at a booth or chatting with fellow writers, Jessica is busy creating handmade jewellery and keychains that add a personal sparkle to her table.
She’s also an active member of the Writers Guild on Facebook, where she continues to connect with and inspire the writing community.
Jessica isn’t just selling books—she’s building a movement for indie voices. And she’s just getting started.
